I like the site, and the board. But isn't there a way to do something like <a href="board_address_here" target="_blank">? It isn't that good looking how it currently is [judging from when I viewed it last week] |

I am not the one currently working on the site, but the portal we are currently using (phpnuke) keeps crashing. Therefore, it would be best to make something original and 100% customizable.

Problem with phpnuke is that it is very standard, it is hard to customize to what we want for our website. If we begin to create coding that will suit our needs, we should be able to create a web site far better than previous versions.
I am egar to begin developing in File Maker Pro 6 and see what we can do with the database options. The main reason we want originality is to the fact that Steve and I (2 of the 3 web-heads) won 1st place at the Business Professionals of America Regional Competition in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and then we took 4th at State in Detroit. We have experience designing quality websites and we dont feel that we have done a good job til we know we can blow the competition away, its kinda like an ego. |

Well if you haven't heard. My team (roboBlue warriors) and Port Perry Robotics have started a massive website development project specifically for the FIRST teams. We called the project openFIRST and we plan to have it completed for September.
The website is hosted on sourceforge.net and is totally OPEN-SOURCE (free free free ;-)). I won't provide a link because the website isn't totally completed, and we are in the stages of uploading some already finished modules. If you are interested in helping or submitting code then email me at dave.dibiase@earthlink.net. Thanks, |
