Dashboard3D v1.0 is out!

Hi everyone! I just finished the first version of the Dashboard3D program. The source and binary packages are available at the team 555 website (http://www.mvrt.org/team555 ). I would very much appreciate any help that anybody wants to give (the project is totally open source) and I would be willing to supply any help needed if you don't understand anything (the project requires DirectX knowledge but it isn't too hard to learn).

If you aren't a coder, or aren't interesting in doing the work, feel free to download the binary package and use the project. Updates will be released as soon as they come out (I'm planning to go to DirectX 9 soon). Please take advantage of this program as I and a few other people (thanks Rob) have been working on it for a long time.

Glad to see you got everything working! Truly excellent work.

I do have one suggestion for you though: you really should apply some kind of license to this. I personally am a big fan of the GPL (Robo* are all released under it), but any of the other free licenses out there could work too. Just make sure you chose one to protect all your hard work and make sure all derivative works are Free as well.

As I said before, congrats on an excellent project.

One other minor thing: you probably want to make a release exe instead of a debug. Not only is it technically against the rules to distribute debug exes, but releases are much smaller and faster. Just choose Set Active Configuration from the build menu, and everything should work nicely. As always, feel free to PM/IM/email me with any questions, etc.

I was actually planning to do it under the GPL, I guess I was just in such a rush to put it up that I forgot.

As to the debug exe, I actually never even thought about that! I'll make the change right away. Now I'm working on making the website work!

Also, if anybody that is good at digital art (i.e. photoshop work, etc.) would like to create a logo/icon for the program, it would be much appreciated. Remember, this isn't only a programming project, it has many art and animation aspects as well!
