Module Requests and Suggestions

Hi.

We want openFIRST to be something that people will use and be comfortable with. If you have any idea that you think could make openFIRST better then please post it here.

If its a module idea then please list the module name and exactly what you want it to do.

If its a suggestion to changing a design of a current module then please post the module name, script name and exact details.

I'd like to see a mailing list module.. maybe just an implementation of some open source mailing list scripts.

Also, for online meetings, some sort of chat. Possibly java for the lesser beings. IRC would be the first choice, though implementing this on a self contained portal may be a challenge.

Of course, both of these things could easily be done without openFIRST, but they'd be much easier for everyone, less the developers, included in openFIRST.

Y'all are doing a great job. You're doing what I was too lazy to start.

We already have ideas for implementing all your suggestions.

The module which I am working on is an action register and project manager. It helps support the teams actions and co-ordinate events.

We are going to develop a mass-mailer. Implementing IRC would be a challenge. I will have to see how we would accomplish this.

Remember actually beating the the laziness and procrastination is half the battle. That means that we are nearly done :-p
