Drill Transmissions

We have old OCCRA drill transmissions with a solid axel as part of the transmission. This eliminates the need for the chuck, etc. Is it OK to use these transmissions this year?

The Legal Kit

All parts from old OCCRA kits are still legal if the part is still available. The part you mentioned was designed and procurred by Chief Delphi's Dr. Joe (Johnson) but is no longer available since we went to the cheaper drill shaft connector kits in 2001. Mr. Martus must poll the committee and officially confirm that later. The issue that the committee has to decide on is: does the old drill shaft connector give you a competitive advantage over those of us using the new connector system? We'll see...

Official answer: Mike Martus
Yes you may use the drill shafts as they give no advantage.
