iF Meetings Planned

As you all know, kickoff is soon upon us, and then for six straight weeks, we will all be caught up in that realm of “build time”. This is why it is imperative that we accomplish a few goals before then, because it will almost be impossible after. Anyhow, for the uninitiated, The Inspiration Foundation Inc. (iF), which was founded by Leon Machado IV (lmachadoiv@inspirationinc.org), Christopher Flynn (cflynn.dem@verizon.net), Michael Murphy(greenmagemike@hotmail.com), and Harry Jahnke, is an attempt to help out lesser funded teams and encourage a sense of unity among all teams.

Unfortunately, the lack of members and participation is killing us. So, we are planning on holding a meeting before and/or at kickoff. Because a lot of us have lives on the weekdays, we’d have to hold it on a weekend. The easiest possible weekends would be of the 27th/28th and the 3rd/4th. We need to know what people want us to work on (items pertaining to teams and to FIRST in general) as well as a list of people willing to attend. It’d most likely be held at Leon’s house in Bridgewater, Massachusetts, so this is more for the people in Southern/Central New England. If it can’t be done on those weekends (and quite frankly, even if it can), it is also a possibility to do it at kickoff in Manchester. This would make it more accessible to the teams farther out (i.e. not in New England), as well as bring in a broader spectrum of ideas.

Anyhow, what we need from you, the dear reader, is for anybody who can attend (and on which date(s)) to tell us so). E-mail, PM, AIM, whatever. And we need to know as soon as possible. So please, let us know so we can plan accordingly. We are really hoping to get a boost in activity this year, and it’ll give team less orphans something to do during the season. If you have any further questions, please e-mail us, or check out our subforum under FIRST-related organizations.

Thanks,
