If I'm not mistaken, tank drive, or two joystick control, allows for more precision when driving and turning. I've driven robots with single stick drive (303 2003). It wasn't terribly hard to drive, but I felt more comfortable with tank drive, whether this is because tank drive generally
is more comfortable, or because I'm used to tank drive.
