Question Piston throw

Does the throw on pistons come in 1/2 inches: 3 1/2, 4 1/2, etc. when ordering from the manufacturer?

I'm not sure if you are referring to the bore, throw or pistion diameter, but from the dimensions you just threw out, I would say you are interested in the stroke. The Bimba order form has varying stroke lengths from:
- 1/2" up to 10" throw for 3/4" bore
- 1/2" up to 24" throw for 1-1/2" bore
- 1/2" up to 24" throw for 2" bore

The intermediate sizes vary with the bore diameter, however you get the picture.

Re: Piston throw

You can only order the strokes listed on the pnuematics order form found at the back of the pnuematics guide. The smaller stroke sizes go up by 1/2 inch increments and then just increase by 1 inch increments. Look in the back of the pnuematics manual for the specific sizes.
