It features kids who were sued by the RIAA. Overall I think it's was a stupid commerical, but Pepsi probably paid for their court fees. I haven't seen too many commercials that I love yet, but the Cadillac ones are cool and so was the one with the talking chimp.

According to the WSJ article on Friday (which is no longer available online), many companies are moving away from the "carte blanche" attitude that they passed onto their advertisement companies. Furthermore, the extravagant ads were at a time at which there wasn't much going on in the world...whereas now there is tons of drama, and thus eye-catching ads are less necessary in the company's eyes.

Hence, more down-to-earth ads.

The one commercial that reminded me the most about FIRST was the Budweiser commercial with the little Donkey that wanted to be a Clydsdale. It showed with hard work, determination and a really good interviewyou can be able to achieve your goal even if you think you don't belong.
If that doesn't say FIRST than what does?

The superbowl was in Reliant Dome? If I would have known that I would have tried to watch some of it instead of go to the robotics meeting!

i'm not too into the whole "OMG the Super Bowl!" thing... personally i only like to watch the sport when i'm there in the stands... at home it kinda lacks reality and is harder to get excited about... thats just my opinion tho. We weren't at Nationals last year anyway... but if we had been, i'm sure i would have made some effort to watch even a little bit of it, just for kicks.

as for the half time show, i've heard it sucked. so i'm not too upset that i missed it. oh well, i was at robotics... so it's all good. lol

Even though the wrong team won, it was a pretty memorable Super Bowl none-the less.

Yes I said the wrong team won, and yes I am from New England!! You got a problem with that??

I hate that the Patriots are on TV and the radio every minute now because of that too... (sigh) It's just the unfortunate result of living in the same general area as the winning team...

As for the pepsi commercial, I cheered when the girl said, "We're going to do it anyways!!" (reffering to the DL of music over the internet... But that is the topic for a whole other thread all together.)

I'm not going to even mention the fact that the Half-Time show was bad, or the media's blatent attempt to drag out a half-time related story for at least two weeks that I don't personally think was a big deal at all!!

And yes, I have to admit I looked and tried to determine what side of the stadium I sat in during The Championship event last year!
It was hard to tell from the video's perspective though.
And my family was just ignoring me when I said that "I was there!" every 20 minutes! lol

Oh, and I heard that it was real sod that they laid in the venue, not just astroturf (that was exclusive for the astrodome!! lol )

but I LIKED those flaboyant ads soo much more. it made me laugh and actually care about thier product

I thought that was one of the better commercials, besides the fact that Pepsi's name was all over it. What they're doing is cool, because it will encourage people to download music legally... only question is will it work?

yeah that nasa tribute was awesome, i too was braggin so much that i competed and was there, every time they showed the shot outside i was like oooo i was there, it kinda became the joke of the night with the people i was watching with. Yeah that whole halftime thing i found funny, MTV shouldnt produce them anymore they just lack creativity now. Anyone see the Golf cart that nelly came out on? It was really awesome.

me and my friend was watching that on a big huge screen with a projector and never saw it... there were two rooms one bar and one kids room and we went in there to watch the halftime show.
