Since the victor 884s are $115, does that mean we can only buy 2 more plus those in the kit, for a maxiumum of only six on the robot??

In short they only count against your $3500 limit From the Q&A: Q: We need 5 Victor speed controllers (kit has 4). The extra controller costs >$100. R75 sets individual item limit to $400. R71 sets limit of electronic component to $100. Does the Victor speed controller fall under rule R71 or R75? A: Rule <77> specifically addresses the Speed controller issue. <71> and <75>. are not applicable. From Rules: <R77> The costs of additional non-spare robot control system components obtained from Innovation First Inc. are included in the above $3500 limit. (Example: A team purchases a Victor Speed Controller from IFI to use on its robot in addition to the Victors provided in the Kit. The cost of the additional speed controller must be included in the above expense reporting and $3500 limit.) |
