Help - Can you rotate an .avi file??
My digi-camera is good...
So good in fact that the display screen on it turns as you turn the camera to make the picture easy to see. Oh, and did I forget to mention that it takes 20 second video .avi files?? So, my problem is, that I took a video of our robot with the camera in vertical mode, but when I DL'ed the video to my computer, the video is now sideways. I have learned and lived by this experience, but want to know: Does anybody know of a program that will rotate videos, like you can with images in just about every software out there? Or am I pretty much out of luck? Thanks in advance people!! |

Re: Help - Can you rotate an .avi file??
Yes you can actually. You need to get a program that I use all the time call Virtual Dub (www.virtualdub.com). Once you have that simply open the file, and do this..
Video -> Filters -> Add.. -> Rotate (and select whatever rotation you want). Once that's done, the easiest thing is to select a compression method Video -> Compression If you don't, an un-encoded avi is a very big file, but you can always get a MPEG encoder to make a .mpg file. Hope this helps! |

Re: Help - Can you rotate an .avi file??
Ooh, I actually have virtual dub from something I was working on over the summer, I ripped the audio from the closing video at The Championships this year to play at mini comps!!
(Huge .wav file I may add..) lolThat's the second time someone has reffered me to this program.. Maybe I should actually try to learn it! Thanks!! |
