Soleniods

So, who all is using diods to power the double solenoid with one relay?? And how are you programming them? I've heard rumors that constant power can burn them out, so we're pulsing them.

Lloyd Burns is an unknown quantity at this point
In previous years, when you had to use a double coil valve, and it was used with the diodes, essentially as a one-coil valve, power was applied to one or other end continuously with no problem.

Cool. We've found that pulsing the current works just fine and eliminates the worry of burning the solenoids out. All you have to do cycle the program one time, just enough to give a quick pulse of juice, and viola, it works.
