Here is one really important thing I learnt this season:

If you do it for yourself, you ain't gonna make it. If you do it for your team, You'll make it.

Our team learned the importance of careful design before construction. We spent three days making custom gearboxes only to find out that they didn't fit...so we went back to the annoying right-angle gearboxes from the kit.

I have to agree 100%. FIRST really was life and I miss it so much.

I realized just how much time I have on my hands during the 6 weeks that all you lucky FIRSTies got to build and sweat over your beloved creation. I miss that joy.

College schedules don't help at all for attending regionals.

My experiences from FIRST really has helped me so far through the college classes that I've taken.

Standing back and just watching is so hard. But watching the growth of future/starting teams is fun.

I won't have that joy of driving at regionals anymore

SHORT PEOPLE ROCK!!! how else you put those screws in tight places and have people under the robot working on it if you didn't have little people with small hands!! You would no doubt be in deep doo doo without us short people!!!

I learned that there is difference between being a college mentor and an engineering mentor. The latter is significantly more strenuous and tiring (yet still loads of fun ). As a recent grad. I salute all the engineers in this program that put in all the time and effort to make their teams a success.
