And that's because it's not. We'll be the first to say that the only thing special about our bot is all the hard work that went into it. And even that is duplicated in other teams.
Lol. It's great when a team can look at their bot and even though it may not be as amazing as some of the stuff you see at competitions, they dont care.

Not trying to start a debate here, but I think that we on 350 had the most "ghetto" robot. Using metal and wood on one bot, heck, our ball collector was half metal, half warped bargain wood from the "$0.50 wood" pile at Home Depot. Fixing all of the broken wood beams with string and zip ties. Using parts after our recently scraped arm as blockers to keep us from entering the corral.

I have 3 favorite bots from the BAE competition. 131 for their elegant looking bot that had the coolest drive train. I loved their hanging method too, they couldnt drift back down to the floor when power was cut off. 69 was just plain awesome. 1073 was amazingly small, fast, and effective at ball herding.

Yeah, real impressive.

Not to go against you John, but I think it's ok that he hyped himself. After 6 weeks of long building, i think it alright to gloat about your bot. Everyone should have pride in their bot. Now I'm sure everyone would like to brag about how well they did, but some can hold it in. I know i would feel kinda quesey if i saw one of these types of threads and looked for my team number, but saw nothing (actually, it happened)

John i know your a good guy( great robot builder, not so good bowling instructor ),

and when i posted i did in no way mean to gloat about how good we were or things of that nature, all i meant was that it kind of startled me, that we were the second overall draft pick, and we werent mentioned. im not whining, or anything, i just wanted to share my thoughts, i did congratulate my picks, but just showing my enthusiasm toward the hard work the kids did to the bot.

Re: Best in show at NH Regional was ....?

All the choices are great but I picked 501. It was a little bouncy but the drivers got the hang of it after the practice day, and after that it was unstoppable. I also picked 501 because their hook was the best one there.... I tried to count seconds from when they were on the top platform. One time they totally missed the bar, but it still took them only 7 seconds to get off the ground! crazy stuff...... I like the design of 69's hook, but 501 wins because of speed.

Hyper, I want to marry your robot. That machine was fantastic. If the hook was improved a bit, it would be unstoppable.

the hook was fine, it was meant to hook once, and in many of their matches they hooked

I think 190 was the best robot there...functionality, didnt do so great, but amazing machine and im glad we were there with you

Re: Best in show at NH Regional was ....?

It's hard to say who was the best. 501 definitely dominated every match that they were in, and 69 had a wonderful bot. But there were also great designs from teams such as the Duct Tape Bandits or (I think it is) Team 50 with an all wooden bot that has 7 different autonomous modes.

Re: Best in show at NH Regional was ....?

Hyper so gets my vote. Some people on my team decided we were going to each bet a quarter on whatever team we liked, and whoever won got all the quarters. I saw Hyper in their first practice round on Thursday and immediately put my money on them. That robot was not only awesome at doing what it did, but wow... it looked good too. Very awesome.

The Powerknights were good, but it was the bounciness that I didn't like, they seemed to have some problems getting up the step. And CHAOS was good, but not eye-popping like Hyper.

Why in the world aren't you guys going to Nationals??? You could get to the finals there, for goodness sake.

Re: Best in show at NH Regional was ....?

I really have to go with team 69 hyper. Watching you guys in the finals was awsome. That last match you guys had was really awsome. I however want to say that 121's big ball collecter was a great idea and was really thinking out of the box. Oh and 69 hope to see you at battlecry.

I chose other.

I find it hard to believe there were only 3 teams at the NH regional.

Re: Best in show at NH Regional was ....?

I have to vote for team 213 and 157 both of those robots were amazing unfourtunatly there is only one winner on a competition but I would have them as my alliance partner any day of the week. Both those machines are awsome.
