Pacific NW Hall of Fame?

Going after this thread: http://www.chiefdelphi.com/forums/sh...threadid=26464,

I was wondering which team at the Pacific NW Regional had the most functional robot? I am not saying "best" for obvious purposes.

Re: Pacific NW Hall of Fame?

I think the robot that impressed me the most was 492... I liked 473 and 360s robots alot. But our Alliance partner 492 seemed to me to be overall the most impressive.

Can you explain why for the benefit of those who weren't there?

I think they were good because of their ideas. The Motorcycle gloves on the end of their arms was highly creative and i still wonder how they stay on but it was defenatly the team with the best 2x ball capper. Consitently they would cap the stationary goal. They could move the mobile goal and they could herd multiple balls and deliver the balls to the humans with ease. Their atitude was amazing and the aftermath of winning has been only positive and everything about their robot impressed me even if we weren't in the alliance with them.

Definately have to agree with nate... 492 was the best... they had an all around great robot ... plus all the younger kids there recognised it they nicknamed it "glovey" for the gloves it uses as grips.

Re: Pacific NW Hall of Fame?

Though I may be a little biased (I'm from 492) I think, if you are looking at overall functionality we did REALLY good. We were able to cap, pick up balls, hit other robots (with our arms), and had 4 different atono modes (4 for each position that is). We were even able to push our selves up with our arms, the only robot in the entire regional who was able to recover from a tip.

We also had the ability, which we never actualy used in any of the competitions, to slam a 2x ball so far down a goal it would be imposible to remove by any other robot. We were thinking about doing this on the other team's major goal, so they would not be able to put any more balls in

PS they were Goalie (as in soccer) not biker gloves
