Student Animators BEHOLD SALVATION!

Greetings!

I'm Robbio, a former FIRST team member and current FIRST volunteer.

From 1998 through 2000 I worked on Team 108's animations. I remember the long, excrutiating hours soaking up CRT radiation attempting to figure out how the heck inverse kinematics functioned.

Oh, how my mother worried I would grow a third neck.

Well young animators, put your mother's paranoia at ease!

Now we have this, In The Viz! A group of forums dedicated to shortening every animators gamma intake.

"How will this be accomplished?" you ask?

Why, with all the gracious professionals involved with FIRST, there will be plenty'a folks who've fiddled enough with 3d Studio Max to solve your problems instantly! Or at least as frequenly as they check the message board!

Just post any issues, ideas, notes, thoughts, renderings, files, animations, recently eaten meals, and other curioso to this forum for...um... answers.

Thanks for your time and enjoy the boards located at:

Hooah Soldier!

I think this is a good forum, perhaps you should try sending an e-mail to as many teams as possible, so that we could have as many animators from FIRST in there as possible...

Re: Student Animators BEHOLD SALVATION!

I met Robbio at Midwest, and I'll tell you he's a really cool guy. Animation discussion has really dropped within the past year on these forums, and we need to kick it up a notch again.

I'd also just like to thank Robby for letting us play our animation for judging even though it wasn't on the compilation DVD.

Re: Student Animators BEHOLD SALVATION!

I've seen a lot of forums going up and down like this. I really like the idea but theres never any posts and seeing numbers like 16 and 0 for thread totals tells me that there's not much active discussion. Maybe start some guide questions for the advanced and the beginners and some tips, get people talking, and advertise (NO SPAMMING) this forum as you help on other forums or here. I dunno, sounds like a good idea because I'm a n00b, we have no mentor and self-teaching 3dsmax has been tough. Anywho, best of luck!

Agreed. It's a great idea, iamnafets. The forum was just started, so it's slowly gaining momentum. Feel free to jump in head first
