You know... that is a good question. No, I have not written much poetry, but I do like to write when I have time.

Speaking of writing...

(oh, no... here's goes Andy again...)

If you look at the some of the more respected people on these Forums, you will notice that they all have one thing in common: they know how to write.

You wonder why JVN is well-respected? He can write. He clearly can express his feelings and opinions in writing. So can Dave Lavery, Joe Johnson, Ken Leung, and many others. Sure, you may not agree with everything these people say, but you must admit that they can write well.

So, do you want respect? You want people to listen to you? Then put your effort into your words. Choose them well. Take your time and show the readers in this community some respect by proofing your work, taking the time to spell things correctly, and thinking about what you write before spilling your emotions hastily onto the keyboard.

A good rule that I use is this: each post I write could be read by over 1,000 people. The effort I put into my writing makes it easier for each of those people to read what I have to say. Then, when they see another post by me, they are inclined to read it.

Ok, why can't some of us college students have that much time, I mean, seriously if we had that much time we might actually get to sleep at night as opposed to being the freaks of nature we are.
