Spring Compression in Inventor 6?

Does anyone know if it is possible to make a spring expand and compress when using driving constraints? I'm trying to show that the spring is attached to two different surfaces, and when they move, so does the spring. The spring was made using a coil, and I know that in the part file it assigns a parameter value for the height (which is what would be changed) but i'm not sure how to access that parameter in a sub assembly. Any help would be great.
