[FVG]: Opening Sequence
I've started work on an opening sequence for the FIRST Video Game. However, I need to know the official title of the game, and I need the .max or CAD files of a couple of robots that competed (i think we're doing Frenzy, right?)
It shouldn't be too much for me to do this, and I might be able to get at least a rough up soon. |

Re: [FVG]: Opening Sequence
My team (696) might be able to provide inventor files of the complete robot. PM me if you are interested.

Re: [FVG]: Opening Sequence
Allright, I'm currently working on remodeling the field a bit, and I'm outlaying the shots.
Also, I have another question. What movie format do you want it in (*.avi, *.mov, etc.) I'm not sure what's used in games, but I think that of what I've used, mov files give the best quality. |

Re: [FVG]: Opening Sequence
I've got a max file of the 2004 HOTBOT, but it's was imported from IGES and I'm still working on seperating the peices. I'll post it when it's done.
As for format, I think games usually use .avi, but you can use whatever will work. |

Also, it doesn't look especially professional to have the QuickTime plugin strew Apple insignia all over the place (referring to the "Q" system tray icon, and other such things). |

Re: [FVG]: Opening Sequence
shouldn't we discuss what is going to be in the opening sequence?

But anyone who wants to post any ideas for it, go ahead. |

Re: [FVG]: Opening Sequence
Here's just a screenshot rendering of the field I've been working on. Some of the texturing still needs to be fixed, and I still need some robot files, so if you have 3D Studio Max or Inventor files of your robot, it would be greatly appreciated if you let me use them. Remember, this is just a test and its just for my own ideas for what's going on, any input/criticism/comments are greatly appreciated.

My biggest logistical problem so far is the polygon count. I'll need to reduce the amount on all of the balls and perhaps the PVC pipes. |
