FIRST recently said that dates should be posted soon and last year they were posted in August, so i would think they should be up in the next month or so, hopefully sooner.

Looks like Kick-Off is around the 10th of Jan this year. Funny, they announced the ship date, but not the kick off, you can kinda guess when the kick-off is by the ship date, and vice versa, unless FIRST threw us a curve ball, and we have 7 weeks to build (or 5! )

I think the kick-off was released before, maybe, as January 8.

The 8th would make the most sense. It is the first saturday after new years weekend. There is no way they would do it on the first & no way they would only give us 5 weeks to build. They need success and they wouldn't get it by giving us only 5 weeks. As it stood I had already made our team calendar up with those 2 dates as kickoff & Ship Date.

Just for referance i would not say that the 8th is the kickoff date. I would wait until FIRST releases a date for kickoff before having people plan for the 8th. Though it may be the 8th, it could always be something else too...

OK as long as its an offical date from FIRST i wouldnt go by it. I was saying that before is because when BRandon set up the countdown system he put a tentative kick off date on there and i wasnt sure if thats what they were going by for around the 10th.

Just from a historical perspective, last time the first Sat in Jan was the 1st (2000), kickoff was the 8th.

OT: You know what would rule (but never ever happen)? New years party followed by kickoff. "3...2...1...Happy New....oooooooh."
