Btw, I know someone uploaded the Discovery Special last year for DL, can someone do that again this year? Even if it for only a week or so if bandwidth is a concern. I have last years, and would like this year's too..

Do you have a DishNetwork PVR or a DirecTivo? If so, if you remove the hard drive and plug it into your computer, you can access the recordings. To convert them to a standard format, you will need an additional piece of software.

If it is a DishNetwork PVR, sign up for the DishRip Yahoo group and read through the files section. There are several pieces of software that can convert video from the DishPVR format to MPEG2

If it is a DirecTivo, download DVRchive, which will convert from TiVo format to MPEG2.

I'm considering converting it to mpg or mov, but it depends on time. I'm still thinking about it and depends on my homework load. Now I just need to find a host. Anyone up to it just send me a PM.

I have it on TIVO and need to buy blank videos to play it at robotics, then I have the capability to put it to cd and on web, but need husband's help to do that and his time to help is rare.

I can however easily host it if someone sends me an mpg.

I watched the show on Friday and really enjoyed it! I that the storys in there were cool! It was also cool seeing my brother on TV!
