[SCRRF]: teams urgent msg

SoCal FIRST Robotics Teams:

Dean Kamen and FIRST need your help! FIRST is sponsoring a booth at the National WESCON Convention hosted by the IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers) and they need teams to demonstrate robots on Tuesday and Thursday, September 21 and 23, 10 AM – 4 PM, at the Anaheim Convention Center where the event is held. FIRST wants to showcase the teams in order to recruit new schools in Orange County and to attract corporate sponsors for teams and the LA Regional. Will your team respond to the call by attending one day with your robot? This is an opportunity for your team to help promote FIRST and get recognition for it as well as a good way to hook up with some corporate= 0sponsors. If your 2004 robot is working and you have a couple of team members who can attend, please contact Wendy Wooten (ms.wooten@hightechhighla.org or 818.267-4589) ASAP!!!!! We need to let Dean and FIRST know which teams they can count on.
