**FIRST EMAIL**/Fourth Annual Women in Science & Technology Forum on Friday, November

Attention teams!

FIRST, in partnership with UNH-Manchester, will host our fourth annual Women in Science & Technology Forum on Friday, November 5 in Manchester, NH. All high school girls interested in science, math, technology and engineering are encouraged to attend with their teachers, parents or other supportive adults.

This event has been a tremendous success in the past and we expect nothing less this year!

We will explore life decisions over the course of this one-day conference. Learn what you need to be doing and what resources are available in high school in order to prepare for college and your career goals, learn how your college choices will affect your career and, finally, learn about career choices that will make your life satisfying and rewarding. Take this day to gather resources and tools to map your future, and build relationships and networking skills to help you handle challenging decisions you will encounter.

Sessions will be available in the following five tracks:
Biology, Medicine, Veterinary, Chemistry, Pharmacology
Engineering, Math, Aerospace
Information technology, Software
Education, Government, Museums, Arts & Science
Earth Science, Geology, Ecology, Meteorology, Agriculture

We have selected a terrific group of women to share their experiences with you: we expect women from the business sector, veterinarians, doctors, educators, engineers, current college students, marine biologists, meteorologists, women in government, nanotechnologists and software engineers.

Registration is $10 for students and $20 for adults. Lunch will be provided.

For more information and to download the registration form, please visit our web site at http://www.usfirst.org/place/confrn.htm. Registration is limited, so please register early (deadline Oct. 29).

Questions? Contact Karen Sullivan by sending an email to Karen@usfirst.org or calling 1-800-871-8326 #427.

We hope to see you on November 5!

Whatever you do, you need courage. Whatever course you decide upon, there is always someone to tell you that you are wrong. There are always difficulties arising that tempt you to believe your critics are right. To map out a course of action and follow it to an end requires some of the same courage that a soldier needs. Peace has its victories, but it takes brave men and women to win them. - Ralph Waldo Emerson
