www.usfirst.org server slow?

Has anyone else noticed the FIRST website server being really slow? Like right now it won't even load their home page for me. I'm worried if it is like this on and after the kickoff.

EDIT: It seems fine now but sometimes it really does seem bogged down.

Could it be because of the community is in the midst of freaking out over this?

Just have patience with it. Remember they are a non-profit and thus are doing the best they can for us in all terms, especially the server.

Yes it was real slow for me too... I think that they have a problem rather than a load issue.

I would not worry about the kickoff. They have been doing this for a few years and should be able to anticipate the load for downloading manuals, et cetera.

They never have in the past. Even with releasing the rules early with the password, the site still went down that morning.

I have had issues with the site loading for me over the past few weeks. Site design overhaul to go with the new logo?

I think they're limiting their bandwidth or # of users that can access the site at a given time. When I try to load a page it either doesnt load or it loads pretty fast. So I dunno, I am just guessing.

It might be that:
a) they are working on the site
or b) too many people are on the server at once.
Give it time, dearie, it'll pick up. =D

Again at the current time their server is unreachable. This is happening after an e-mail blast goes out or a link is posted, then everyone is hitting their site. This is not good, it has me worried for kickoff.
