FIRST Awards: Easy Submission of Chairman's Award & WFA

This year, the process of submitting the Chairman's Award and Woodie Flower's Award, (as well as the website) has been made easier than ever before. Teams, on www.firstawards.org, are able to electronically submit their entries for these awards at the regional level. In the case of last years regional Woodie Flowers Award Winners, teams may also update last year's entries with the supplemental information for the current year. It is so easy for teams to register (email address, name, password, and team #), and for those who have registered in the past to submit the WFA and may have lost and/or forgotten their password (as was the case with our team), when you register again the previous WFA entry will automatically be in your award entry submission information.
On the site, the actual submission of each of these words can be expressed as incredibly painless:

For the Chairman's Award:
Confirm Team Information
Complete Executive Summary
Essay (10,000 characters or less)
Images (you may upload up to 4 images or 1MB)
Review all material.
Submit!

For the Woodie Flowers Award:
Enter Candidate Info
Your Info
References
Essay (600 words or less)
Images (you may upload up to 6 images or 1MB)
Review all material.
Submit!

I highly recommend that all teams with at least a year or two of experience in FIRST make an effort to produce one or both of these submissions this year. It would be amazing to see an immense increase in participation for these entries this year. Teams should truly focus on growth and the true meaning of FIRST regardless of the outcome. After all, haven't we always heard before that FIRST isn't just about robots, but the people who are involved and the partnerships and community that are formed. Good luck to everyone! Hope you will all decide to submit!
