No. The only thing you can do involving "taking apart" a motor is removing the black gearbox on the globe motor

Re: Are u allower to take motors apart???

I think it depends on what you are going to DO with the parts.

If you want to use the wire to conduct electricity, I think you are out of luck, but if you want to use the alxe and bearings, I think you'd be within the rules.

Basically, you can't modify them and still use them as motors, nor can you use any of the parts ways that voilate other rules (for example you could not seal up the body of the CIM and use it as a pneumatic air tank in place or addition to of the clippards), but I think that if you have other ideas, you many be allowed to do it (I am thinking that I may use a the insides of a Chiaphaua Motor as a fishing reel type affair; a place to wind up my Spectra cable -- NOT! ;-)

Re: Are u allower to take motors apart???

you should NEVER takt the rotor out of the stator housing unless you have a metal sleeve called a KEEPER.It retains the magnetics flux otherwise the magnetics will be degraded and the motor will produce less power. Jim
