Re: teams to look for this year
At the Colorado scrimmage (February 19), three teams out of the eight that attended really stood out in my mind.
The first is team number 159. Their robot is all that you would expect from a team with their experience and more. Of the eight teams attending, this robot was the first of only two who capped the center tetra. The second is #1408 (I think) from Jefferson. Their robot uses a design which flips the tetra onto the goal. Many teams said that their design was a fluke and would never stand up in real competition, but nuts to them, they did well. They were the highest scoring team of the whole lot. And finally, my own team, 1562. We were the other team to cap the center tetra, and though our robot is falling apart day by day, we still hang on for the ride. |

Re: teams to look for this year
While you are looking keep an eye out for 56 Robbe Extreme.
They are fast, accurate and have a great drive team. They were at our scrimmage yesterday and the drivers of 56, 1089 and 25 had a stackoff on the center goal. We ended at nine and could have gone higher if the ceiling was higher and there were more tetras. ![]() NJ is going to be THE regional this year....... WC ![]() |
