We don't... thank the lord.
On average, 237 has to pay $1,000+ for the 2 weekends that we work.

Why?, thats a very good question. Watertown High School does not see the point in our "club". The sport teams fought with the school about us calling our selfs a team, so we have to call it a club. We receive no funding from the school and they then take money from us to fill their budget problems. I guess you can call it robbery, but we have to deal in order to participate in FIRST.

Re: Meeting Length

Team 237 meets Monday thru Friday starting at 4pm until 8pm at the high school our team is based out of, Watertown High. The only time we meet at the school on a weekend is usually the last weekend before the robot ships to finish up any loose ends. We try not to meet on weekends because we're required to pay for custodial coverage on weekends, but if we do we usually do all day, 8 or 9 in the morning until 5 or so.
If we know the school will be closed because of weather or a holiday we meet at one of our sponsors shops. We only ask the mechanical and electrical people to show up and whatever stuff we need or is being worked on we take the night before from the school.
We don't have a dedicated room at the school. We use the woodshop, metalshop, graphic arts, home ec, electronics room, and the cafeteria. The rooms aren't all next to each other but they are all in the same wing of the building so it isn't too bad. The main problem is since these rooms are used during the regular school day we have to drag everything out at the beginning of the meetings and then pack up again near the end. We also clean up any rooms and machinery we use.

Re: Meeting Length

The Cyber Wolf Corps meets Mon-Wed-Fri from starting about 4 and ending from 7 to 9. On Tue and Thur we normally have shorter days because our mentor teach a college class those days so we normally only stay till about 6 or 7. We also meet most Saturdays and some Sundays from about 9 in the morning till about 6 at night. The reason we meet so long is that we really don't have a lot team members so we have to spend a lot more time on the robot.

Re: Meeting Length

We meet:
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday - 6pm-9pm (maybe a little later)
Thursday - right after school until like 5-6ish
Friday-5pm-9pm
Saturday-9am-12pm

Times will increase once we start building the actual bot, we get kicked out by janitors and would have to pay for them to stay later so it kinda sucks.

Re: Meeting Length

We meet Monday to Friday from 3:30 to 10 or 11
Weekends 12 to about 10
Probably soon we will start the weekend meetings at 9 or 10

We meet at our mentor's auto shop and their is about 8 members that come out but when it starts to get late there is about 3 members left.

Our IT side of the team meets almost everyday at the school and they stay till like 8.

We also have a mascot team and they come to Thursday and weekend meetings and their is about 8 people on that team.
