html Tutorial
I am currently making a HTML tutorial for people that want to set their site up with just code. I put it on my websites:
http://bobbys.us/ and http://fjerboa.com/ I will probably be adding a lot more, but it should be a little useful for some new HTML coders that just want to learn. |

Re: html Tutorial
This is a screenshot of what happened when I tried to view your site at school. The filter that the school uses blocked it.....

Re: html Tutorial
I find it interesting that you never mention the HTML elements like html, head, or body.
You just have all the formatting stuff... oversight? |

Re: html Tutorial
It's a good start of a tutorial.
![]() I'd like to see some more emphasis on proper html though. For example, a website with valid html will have exactly one title element in the head element. Another example is the requirement of putting a DOCTYPE declaration at the beginning of a document. |

Re: html Tutorial
I didn't see anything about lists. I think that may be a useful, yet simple concept to go over. (ul, ol, and li tags) Also, you could mention html comments and maybe some links to more advanced tutorials for people who want to learn more.
I was thinking of writing a tutorial myself. I didn't get around to it because I am spending so much time on my team's website. |

Re: html Tutorial
OK. I have fixed up the tutorial to what I felt that I agreed with you on. I am still adding more to my tables section and I will be doing DIVs, but I would like to know what else you think that I should add.
I would also like you to know that I am changing it to multiple pages in the future, and I will begin a php tutorial when I finish this HTML tutorial. |

Re: html Tutorial
Great job so far!
I found an HTML Cheat Sheet that you can use as a reference to see what you need to add. I am looking forward to viewing the PHP tutorial, which will be extremely helpful in the future. |
