Controller disables itself after being reprogrammmed

For some reason our robot controller started automatically disabling itself every time it gets programmed, i.e. the rc mode light starts blinking red and the robot does not respond until it is reset using both the reset and programming buttons. I am running the new master code and the same thing happened with the previous master code version. It seems to have started doing this for no reason that I can determine. Has anyone had this problem and/or know how to fix it? I have searched the forums and I couldn't find what I was looking for, it doesn't seem that anyone has had this problem where it disables itself every time the rc gets reprogrammed.

Re: Controller disables itself after being reprogrammmed

Try downloading code with a different computer, it sounds as if either the cable or computer is corrupting the download.

I'll try, but does it make sense then that the code works exactly as it should after the controller is enabled?

No it doesn't make sense that the program is getting corrupted. It's possible, however, that some RS232 signal is not being propagated correctly.

I'm guessing here after the program downloads, the IFI loader resets the robot controller. It could be that signal isn't reaching the robot, probably similar to having to hold PROG to download code. It's worth trying, and its pretty easy to do. (The other computer only needs IFI Loader and your hex file, nothing else)

I tried using both different cables and computers and neither made any difference. Any other ideas?
