The specifications for the competition field carpet are in the documentation somewhere, but I can't find the link quickly. Here's what I copied from it when I did see it:

S&S Mills
PO Box 1568
Dalton, GA 30772
800-241-4013

The carpet used on FRC playing fields is Sequoia 20, "ground pepper" color.

Re: Rugs

The exact specs for the field carper were answered in the official FIRST Q&A seection, not in the rule book.

Sequoia 20 - Ground Pepper. Supplier: S&S Mills PO Box 1568 Dalton, GA 30722

Go to HERE press proceed and do a keyword search on "carpet" for all the OFFICIAL responses.

Your link doesn't work.....nor does the web URL.....do you know any other areas we could find this info?

Re: Rugs

Yes, the link I gave does work, but it only takes you the the Q&A section for FIRST. As my PREVIOUS post stated, you then have to do a search for "carpet". And....a previous post did show the vendor name for the carpet as S&S Mills.

Further,
their telephone number is 800-363-8704 if you want to buy some of this.

They may also give you sme hints as to what is "comparable" that you could buy yourself locally.

The S&S web site does not show this exact style, but they do show their commercial-grade "Brassfield" line HERE.

BOTTOM LINE:
I've been told (elsewhere in this forum) that the field carpet is "very similar" to last year's carpet if that helps your team any. Also, go the the pictures section of this forum to see what teams are doing to their wheels to improve traction (that's a hint......)
