Re: pic: Team 188 Teaser
I want to say it is a tetra graber or even a tetra holder but I am not that smart sometimes at 11:30 at night but It looks very nice.

Re: pic: Team 188 Teaser
It seems as it is upside down in the picture.. I wonder how the arm is going to attach to that

Re: pic: Team 188 Teaser
It could be a tetra holder. They might be holding mulitple tetras on the robot.

Re: pic: Team 188 Teaser
If it is a tetra holder i dont think it would be upside down because if it was the tetras would have a hard time staying on the bars.

Re: pic: Team 188 Teaser
My original plan for the robot was to hold the tetras upside down on the robot and have a arm be able to rotate 180 degrees. That way they would be easier to stack. It could be something similar to what I was thinking.

Re: pic: Team 188 Teaser
The tetra grappler as viewed from upside down the black lines probably have little poles or fingers that when the tetra shaped claw is alin=gned over the tetra extend like a super three prong claw hllding the tetra and retract to cap.

Re: pic: Team 188 Teaser
Ok I'm going to assume those black lines from each side are notches milled out. I think i'm seeing some pencil lines at the end of the slots. Perhaps giving away the "symmetry" needed. This may be a far stretch for this picture, but i think the whole assembly is made to slide up and down, say 6 or 7 feet, carrying tetras on top. And then dumping them onto a goal. this hieght could be lowered by not having to lift the tetras above the goal. Anyway, the people who know what it is are either shocked and amazed by my uncanny ability, or laughing themselves onto the floor. It is a far stretch, but i think we'll see some cool stuff this year. Am I even close?

Re: pic: Team 188 Teaser
as steve said, this was without full team consent. therefore, nothing can be said for or against any of the predictions made, though there are definitely some creative visual thinkers out there. perhaps more to come.

Re: pic: Team 188 Teaser
i think its a tetra grabber/ goal blocker. the grabber is mounted onto an arm that can rotate 300 degrees. They would park themselves in between two goals and would be able to cap either goal thats beside them. after they drop the tetra onto the goal, the grabber will act as a goal blocker
