Re: Prom = alot of $$

Senior year, tickets are free for seniors.

Junior year they were 30 a person or 50 a couple.

Junior year it was held in a convention center and was crap. Senior year it was at one of the nicer hotels and it looked nice at least. The only gift we recieved was senior year a keychain.

Re: Prom = alot of $$

Proms are the biggest waste of time and money EVER! (I went to 3, bought 2 dresses, and so far my favorite date has been Dez )

Think of something you really really wanna buy (like some sports equipment, a vacation, or electronics) and use your prom money to purchase that instead. You'll thank yourself later!

Re: Prom = alot of $$

I wouldn't worry about the other expenses like the dress, transportation, etc. I heard they're more fun anyway if you keep it low key, plus it would only leave you with the cost of the ticket.

My prom happens to fall on Nationals. It was a tough decision, but I didn't want to miss one of the most monumental occasions of my high school career. So...I'll be seeing y'all in Atlanta!

Re: Prom = alot of $$

yeah prom is expensive...being class president i can understand some of these ticket prices. usually ticket prices are based on how much money your student council has raised for it. and prom's are EXPENSIVE...we're talking easily over $10,000 just for a junior prom. it's all about fund raising. and yes, we have to pay for our prom too.
