Re: Who do you think are the most identifiable teams?

yes, i was about to say 233

however
Watch out for 759 at NYC this year, you wont be able to miss us... our t shirts are something special, with our British flag being a rather major part its going to be along the lines of this i think. (but as a short sleved t shirt, not a sleveless)

Re: Who do you think are the most identifiable teams?

i think one team we have to watch out for is Team 71 BUT i am also thinkin you might have to watch out for us too Team 1259. as you can see below we where the rookie of they year last year in midwest regionals, we got 4th out of the 53. not bad i think, and i think this year we may be a real threat aslo (my 2 cents)

Thumbs up Re: Who do you think are the most identifiable teams?

Hopefully this year Team 96 is making a comback for green. Still, it'd be tough to put my team over MOE... can't beat that glow.... that might be the reason for some of the kids wearing shades indoors... any way, BUZZ definitly has some bright shirts, but New England has a lot of... different teams. Teams 230 and 173 have some impressive "shows". Techo-nuts too man.

Re: Who do you think are the most identifiable teams?

On the West coast, GRT (Gunn Robotics) stands out in a crowd. Who could miss that bright red hair? (Sorry I don't remember the number.) Also, 65, the Gila Monsters, stands out, particularly when they do the Gila dance.

Eric,

I am glad you like our dance. We know who started it. No one can remember when or where it started (for sure.) We once had nearly 600 people doing it at EPCOT.

By the way the Gila Monsters are Team #64. If you are at Phoenix, Denver, or Las Vegas, come on down and join us.

Ken

one that no one (i think) has posted but I'm sure at least a few teams remember is 276, the mad cow bots. If only for the fact that they sat their robot on top yours at one point in time. I've had the honor of seeing them in action and i have to say, they look pretty good this year.

Just my 2 cents.

I love the Mad Cows.
They make the funkiest robots in FIRST.
They are a fun team to watch.

Re: Who do you think are the most identifiable teams?

I think we'd be remiss to not include Team 1547 from Whitby, ON in Canada (General Motors of Canada & Trafalgar Castle School).

Their red/white striped rugby shirts are a vibrant visual reference to the character they call in their omnipresent chant, "Waaallllllllllllddooooooo..."

Re: Who do you think are the most identifiable teams?

I agree, as I'm sure of any of you that were at the Finger Lakes Regional, team 1547 is beginning to make a name for themselves.

They made up many cheers, screamed at the top of their lungs for the whole thing.

My congratulations go out to team 1547, they won the Rookie Spirit Award.

Maybe its just because I'm a GRT alum, but when I think west coast, I think 254, 100, 115, 192... but I guess I can make my list one team shorter now... *sigh*

I agree that the Waldo team was very noticible with those two chants, but the "Ole" chant belongs to a english preimer league soccer team, if i remember correctly. It is real madrid, the team with David Beckam

Real Madrid is in La Liga (Primera Divison). Beckham's old team, Manchester United, is in the FA Barclaycard Premiership.
