Unhappy Shock absorbers?

Im trying to find the rules for parts that are not listed as not useable, but I cant find it. But, our arm is not stable enough, and the motor doesn't stop it from slowly lowering when not pulling up. So we want to put a gas shock on the extended arm and the stand that holds the arm.

Me: (searching for "Shock") (Results : "Girls anyone ever ask you out with lame pickup lines?")
Me: OMGWTFBBQ!!!!111
Me: Ill just post a new thread.
