I know..haha good times...you guys kept winning so many awards!! it was cool though how when we won all-star you like lined that alleyway thing into the main hall so that when we ran past we gave you high fives..was it planned that way or were you guys just coming back to your seats?

Re: Proudest Moment

Mine was probably making it into the Finals at Rochester. I have never felt so excited and happy!!!

Also I loved losing my voice at every competition. It was especially fun when we had to go to Mississauga the week after Waterloo and I still didn't have my voice back and I was the only one in the pit for people to ask about our robot.. Yeesh that was fun, but painful .

I have to say that the #1 proudest moment so far this year was listing to the 2004 Philadelphia regional Woodie Flowers winner ( Joe Perrito 365) announce the 2005 winner, Lou Rosanio 365!! I along with many other students worked on his essay. We are all extremely lucky to be able to work with someone who is so dedicated to the FIRST and the FLL program. Watching Joe's face as he read the pre made speech they gave him and then hearing him announce his friend and team mates name was one of the top 2 experiences of my 3 years in FIRST, My number one experience ever was watching Joe Perrito win Woodie Flowers..

I am sure there will be more to come, but i don't know many things that can top a mentor getting recognized for there hard work and dedication to FIRST.
I know I already posted but like I said in my other post there will be more to come..
Philly was my last regional as a student on MOE. I kept thinking all day "This will be the last time I will be here as a student on the team, the last time i will be able to talk to the judges and work on the robot". Today MOE won the Philly regional and also the Chairmans award. I am one of the students who works on the Chairmans team, Winning those awards while i was near my best friends was the best expernce I have ever had, what a way to go out as a student. I can't wait to see what my last National's as a student will be like....

Re: Proudest Moment

Being on the field driving with 33 and 1112 as our alliance won the only regional in 2004 with 2 fields, 74 teams, and international status, which 639 has attended since its beginning in 2002. Brought tears to my eyes. The Greater Toronto Regional in 6 days is the most anticipated event of the year for me and most members of this team. As for this year, I am very proud of the fact that we went into this season with enough money for one regional event and now will attend two regionals in addition to the championship event. There are 11 veteran members leaving after this year so the team effort has been tremendous.

Kyle pretty much just said my proudest moment cause I too was one of the students who worked on the Chairmans and to see all of our hard work pay off, especially when it is also my senior year and my last regional that I will be attending as a student on the team. To hear them say MOE365 as the winners of the Chairmans Award, it just brought me to my own little happy place in my mind, as childish as that may sound.

Our proudest moments(as far as I'm concerned) would have to be when we were selected for the finals at the Chesapeake Regional, and when our team helped our alliance win during the second round of the quarter finals. We gave another team a bump to help them get out of a goal they were stuck in, and we pushed a tetra on that wasn't quite on, which I think broke a row.

-watching my team having the ability to cap in auto mode especially since it was at our first competition

-learning how to tap using the milling machine for me was a top event

-winning the judges award @ UCF...finally some of the things i've pushed for chairmans finally fell through

-watching our sister team, Swampthing win UCF...one of my fav. memories of this season....great job ya guys!! so proud of you guys!!

Re: Proudest Moment

Wooden Thunder is kind of short. Even though it was designed and built to score three tetras on the center goal, our little guy was intended to be fast, nimble, and a prolific capper of the short goals. We figured that the 15-foot bots would duke it out on the center goal and we would score all the others.

My proudest moments, strangely, are the two times we capped the center goal in a competition. Once we over-capped a tetra from the other alliance on the center goal. It was like watching an 8th-grader dunk over Shaq.

(For what it's worth, except for the three rounds when our arm had been disabled by a programmer [aarg!] sticking his [aargh!] hands in the electrics, our strategy worked fine. We usually scored 3-5 tetras per round, and went 5-2 in our non-crippled rounds. If we hadn't -- I am not making this up -- had five different driving teams we probably would have done better.)

Re: Proudest Moment

I have quite a few proudest moments of this season. I'm so proud of my freshman for getting the entire team all pepped up and cheering. And I'm proud of the pit crew for working 13 hours straight on thursday of our first regional. And I'm proud of the drivers, for doing a great job, even while I was getting the hang of the coaching thing (It was my first year coaching). And the team in general. Their attitude and enthusiasm. It was a good year.

One of my proudest moments HAD to be walking down there to accept the Bruce Power Safety award (being safety captain and all). And knowing all of that yelling to put on safety glasses or turn on the flashing light paid off
