Hatch Technology???

In the lower right corner of the Peachtree Regional Awards Page there is this icon:

Next to the words " Data provided by:"
and above this link: www.hatchtechnology.com

Two Questions:
Who Is Hatch Technology? and Why are they providing us data?

Anyone know the connection?

I suppose I want to thank them because whomever is providing us the data from the other 3 regionals last week is late in the providing, but it is curious just the same.

If you got it, dish it.

Joe J.

Re: Hatch Technology???

That logo also appeared in the corner of all of the on-screen displays used by the scoring system at the competitions this weekend. Perhaps they're the group that did the scoring software this year?

Hatch Technology is the company that wrote the scoring software this year.

Yes, it was rewritten for the 3rd time in 3 years.

I wonder if they go 4 for 4...

Anyway, I just want to say that Hatch did a great job, while I would have liked real time scoring and a nicer clock, it dosn't matter, the scoring system is reliable and amazing now. Great job guys!

Re: Hatch Technology???

Hatch Technologies is a company which i have come to really like over the past few months. They not only wrote the scoring system for this year, they also did the Field Electronic towers also. They have consolidated and fixed many issues people have had with some things over the past few years, including having only 2 Ethernet cables coming from the field to the scoring table to replace the 10 or so large electronics cables. Multiple people from Hatch Tech are FIRST alumni and very nice people.

I guess we did our job well if it looked good to you in the audience. I agree with Dez that they are nice people, we spent a fair bit of time on the phone with them and they were very pleasant.

I saw you walking away from the scoring table after finals at VCU and you looked burnt out. Thanks for everything man.
