Re: Denver anyone

After a long and pretty sucessful practice day of working on the bot, i got to play in the snow and have a snowball fight. We sure got some stares from the Denver kids, but hey, we're from texas, we never get to do this

Talking Re: Denver anyone

yeah that was a some great times om the snow and good job 118 and 935 see u guys in atlanta but there was one thing i really did not like and that was the lack of calling loading zone penalties we had that happen 5 times during the course of the competition to us and one time we even had one called on us instead of the team that did it to us but it was cool the staff was volunteers so they were nice to participaite but good job to the rest of the teams and some very interesting designs

Just got back from awards. was going to post who got what but FIRST (the website anways) got it up real fast.

http://www2.usfirst.org/2005comp/Events/CO/awards.html

I'll be posting a really long post about my thoughts on the regional soon. Every regional has it's own individual issues, challenges and rewards, and this one has it's own flavor. It's been a lot of work. I've only had 4 hours of sleep in the last two days. But it's been worth it.

Good luck to all the teams in the finals tomarow!

The standings and match results are not coming up for the Colorado Regional. Does anyone know why this might be?

Re: Denver anyone

233 has the rare perspective on this argument being that they won both the regional championship and the regional Chairman's award.
So which one excites you guys more?
And congratulations on winning both.

Thanks Koko. I think this argument depends on the individual. On the team, I have always worked on the robot. I also helped out with fundraising and volunteering. But I was not involved with organizing a presentation and such for the Chairman's Award (that is my sister's job this year). So personally, I would like to have the team win an engineering or design award (or win an event), so everybody who worked on the robot, can receive some recognition. But since this is our team's first time winning Chairmans, I think the team (as a whole) liked winning Chairman's for the time being.
