Machine Tools for sale in NJ

At various times, many teams have asked about where to find machine tools at less-than-retail prices to build their robots. I just came across this information about a machine shop liquidation scheduled for this weekend that may be of interest. The guys liquidating the machine shop were some of the co-sponsors of the Iron Fever Expo, which hosted the off-season Summer Frenzy competition last year in York PA. If you are in the New Jersey - New York - Pennsylvania area, you may want to check it out. While the timing is not perfect for this year, it may be a good opportunity to pick up some machine tools at reasonable prices as you start getting ready for the 2006 competition.

Luckily we have a local curling club that will rent out their ice. Looks like we better start building!

Andy.. I'm shocked. You have never been to the Brass Mill Mall when they had indoor ice skating?

HDPE, like the platforms from 2003/2004, works just as well as ice as a surface for sliding on..
And.. you don't have to worry about that pesky water and electronics not getting along problem.

Re: Machine Tools for sale in NJ

I just came from that sale. The building was an old tool and die making shop, so it has a lot of heavy machines ie, surface grinders, lathes and a few good bpts. Anyone who needs a new bpt, thats the place to check out. Lots of endmills too, all sorts. I ended up buying some endmills and a few setup items. Long story short, if youre in need of machine tool items, check it out.
