Thanks from a 2006 Pre-Rookie

As a member of the 2006 rookie team from Lower Merion High School in Ardmore, PA, I'd like to thank the teams that have and are generously helping us to begin a FIRST team:

Team 341 at Wissahickon HS who is going to loan and retro-fit an old robot for us to compete in Ramp Riot in November,
Team 357 at Upper Darby HS for bringing their robot to present and demo to our enginnering club, school administration, staff, and parents,
and Pete Kieselbach from Team 103 for training our Technology teachers in Inventor which benefits our team and our student body in general.

Your help means a lot to our team. We would not be able to begin this without your generosity and guidance. Being a part of FIRST is an amazing experience for all of us and a big part of our lives, and you have made it possible for us to participate in such a great thing.

Re: Thanks from a 2006 Pre-Rookie

Well you've got the right idea already! You're getting help from veterans and making use of these forums. Two very valuable assets. Welcome to FIRST!

Re: Thanks from a 2006 Pre-Rookie

On behalf of Team 341 and the entire FIRST community, I would like to welcome you to the program. Something you will find very quickly is that teams are always very willing to help. I think you guys are really going to enjoy your experience in FIRST and you will realize (as I am doing now as a graduating senior) that you will never want to leave. One of the best parts of FIRST is that you don't have to. I can see already that you have great enthusiasm and like Beth says you already have the right idea. Good luck to you and the rest of your team in 2006! We're always here to help!
