weird sites linking to robotics teams

I was bored and did a google search for spamrobotics.com and clicked on the link that shows websites that contain the text "spamrobotics.com". I got 2 pages of websites, the first of course being chiefdelphi.

I noticed a weird website with some name, like something.sex.cc.biz or something. Once I saw the sex part, I didn't want to go to it, but I thought, I want to know what other people are seeing when they click the link to my team's website. So I went to it. It is some type of directory about cheerleading. It says that the sites listed were validated by owners of those sites. I never validated anyhting. I did notice another robotics team on there. I think it was RAGE or somehting starting with an R.

I am wondeirng if other teams find weird sites like that. Search on google for your site, type the entire domain, including .com. Click the link to see a list of sites that link to yours. Post here what types of sites you find. I am interested.

Only pages from my own sites and some CD links. Nothing strange.

Re: weird sites linking to robotics teams

1293 has three links. One's from USC's FIRST site, one is the CD thread with the pic of Ockham this year, and one is a link from a page I did on the site for The WUSC Challenge around Palmetto.

Unless you consider that I made two of those links and have a connection to the third odd, I don't think it's odd.

Just as a side note the domain was not something.sex.com. It was something.ccex.com. That is one weird website I do have to say. It's got fifty differnt weblinks that are completely unrelated.

If you're website is on dmoz.org then other sites that use their feed will have your site listed on their website.
