Pit map posted
For those interested, the pit map has been posted: http://www.usfirst.org/robotics/2002/pit.pdf Warning, it is a 2.1 mb PDF.
There aren't any big suprises (unless you count the WJR radio booth), it is numerical within divisions like last year. |

WJR
WJR Radio has broadcast from nationals quite a few times now. I remember this since WJR is a Detroit radio station and I live near Detroit. Therefore, every time I've seen the booth in Florida, I remember it quite fondly.

I am a little confused on how the pit map works. It has a box with 2 teams in it. Do we share the pit with them, or do we get one big pit together.

ya, same here, it looks like we have to share a pit area. that could get crowded. Any one know the answer?

Here's a question-
what are the thick red lines crossing the aisles in some of the places? We have two right in front of our pit area and I can't see anywhere what they represent. WC |

The red lines
Our best guess (tigerbolt) is that they are the display screens for watching matches/scores/ranking/etc...

W00t!! WJR rules. I listen to Mitch, and used to listen to the Detroit Red Wings *coughwhoaregoingtowinthecupcough* on that station. I rember catching them last year when i would flip through the radio. So cool, now i won't be as first-deprived!!

Where are the playing fields?
If we have to take our robot out the doors at the end by Einstein than 811 is just about as far away as one can get.

Need to clean up for dinner?
Need to wash your hands? Then visit the soap table. What's that you say? The soap table is actually for SOAP? Oh yea, scouting. (my lame attempt at humor)
Stop by the SOAP table and see what our friends from team 108 have come up with. I've heard rumors about a wireless network, real time match results, streaming video, & more. Mike |

The soap table sounds cool. Good thing 930's pit is right across from it
