Revised Rules and Helpful Hints

Rules Revisions
We're in the process of revising the rules, adding some new ones, removing some outdated ones, etc. We'd (well, I would at least) like to have some input and help with this. You guys are using the forums, so let's hear what rules you'd like to see put in place. How would you handle the religion threads, the politics threads, the threads that get out of control very fast, the misuse of reputation, etc. Please e-mail your suggestions to webmaster at chiefdelphi dot com. They must be written just as you'd see them on the rules page. There's no guarantee they will be used, but they all will be read and considered.

Helpful Hints
There was a suggestion to have some helpful hints placed at the bottom of the rules. I'd be willing to add a page somewhere that new members would be redirected to the first time they log in. The page will give them helpful hints as to how/where/when they should post, search, etc. Please send any suggestions to webmaster at chiefdelphi dot com and I'll consider adding them to this page. Hopefully a page like this will prevent some of the stuff that has been present since day 1 where new users come in, do one thing wrong (dont search, post in wrong forum, bump posts, etc..), and then get attacked by the existing members for not knowing.
