Prom Night Crash
I was searching for a car crash on Google in Portland, and I accendently came across a very sad story.. The team is 1087 from West Salem High School I believe and I would like everyone to express their condelences to the Hopper Family. This is very tragic and I know she will be remembered within the FIRST community. I will put something on our website in rememberence of her and I encourage you all to do the same, I will have my team make it this weekend and then I will post when I have it up. Thanks

that is awful. my heart goes out to her family and friends.
Please everyone going to prom be safe as it saddens me to hear these stories every year. Just use your mind and you will be OK.

Such a sad story.
 It is unimaginable what that must be like for the family.Everyone going to prom, I urge you to be extremely safe in everything you do, especially driving. Don't bother your fun night with the burden of driving. Hire a professional driver, your life is worth the cost. There was another similar incident just the other day in Orange County, CA http://abclocal.go.com/kabc/news/052...promcrash.html When I heard about this one, I actually considered switching to driving a safe sedan type car, rather than a lifted truck (which I currently drive). The photos of the people and parts of the SUV laying all over the road were just astonishing. If I ever find myself in a position to make/influence laws, I would definitely make stricter driver training/testing/education requirements as well as improving vehicle standards. Lots of accidents are caused by people not knowing how to handle a situation. And if race car drivers can walk away from a 150+ mph crash, there is no reason the public shouldn't be able to as well.
