I saw this on a robot site i frequently go to. One of the makers of Biohazard (a battle bot) owns a cat who was involved in a accident with a truck so he did this! Ive never seen a happier cat!

sorry, but this video is almost 5 years old, i saw this on BB on tv on season 2. so i dont kinow if the kitty is still alive, yet this is a really good way to help our feline friends

How about this. We make this next years robot! Each robot must be controlled by a kitty. Imagine a cat controlling a robot with a 15 ft long arm! It would be pure happiness!

Remote control, of course.

btw, I think the battlebots team, biohazard, is located in my city (belmont, CA -- it's also a relatively small city). I heard about them when I was a kid; sort of another reason why I decided to look further into robotics.

Well, I meant the cat controls it, just via remote control -- just so the cat's safe behind the operating station while the robot is free to take a good beating... if the cat chooses..

hmmm i still like the idea oh a kitty tank. Maybe that could be part of the challenge, making it safe, or maybe gear the competition so its safe for them. Imagine the look on their faces (well you already know after watching that movie )

But wouldn't a more cost-effective solution be something like this?



I'd think the "wheelchair" would be easier for the cat to use, too.

yeah thats cool. also our biggest competition at the Rochester Robotics Rampage competition for battle bots. that guy is amazing and hopefully i will be able to meet him.

Now that I'm home from vacation, I was finally able to watch that video (dial-up is way too slow and I'm way to impatient). I have to admit, I feel a little guilty for laughing so much at that video... I'm guessing that if you could translate that cat's meow, you would hear "Get me the @$@%* out of this thing!"
