Re: You know you've been in FIRST too long...
when your dinning room tabel turns into a design table the day after kick off, covered in tissue boxes, toilet paper rolls, and pitiful model robots held together with tape.

Re: You know you've been in FIRST too long...
When someone mentions kickoff to you and you automatically get a headache just thinking about what the 3 amigos have in store for everyone =)
3 Amigos = Dave Dean and Woody =) When the above happens and your still working on last seasons game and robot |

Re: You know you've been in FIRST too long...
how about...
someone says something about pride in being a part of FIRST and then people go on for days about their pride, so they post ideas... and post and post and post and post.... |

Re: You know you've been in FIRST too long...
-when the janitors know your name but your parents forgot
-when your dining table still is covered from last years designs -when you know you have been in too long but you just want to stay in longer -when you run out of space to store robots so you decide to paint them on the wall -when you are looking randomly online (during "off season") and say this would really cool on a robot |

Re: You know you've been in FIRST too long...
When you disassemble your own shop power tools to use the parts to build a mechanism prototype because you can't wait 24 hours for a build session at the school.
And you are a mentor who is *cough* years old. |

Re: You know you've been in FIRST too long...
When you draw out the playing field in a snow drift, on a foggy window or anything you can to bounce ideas around.
When you keep changes of clothes in your car to be able to stay the night and still keep up appearances. When you blow off a major concert that you spent big money to get tickets for. When you throw parties for Kickoff, to celebrate Auton working (in any way), send off, or any other reason you can find... |

Quote:
you know you are a FIRSTer when you have to cook breakfast and bring it in for your team just so they will have something to eat.. when you no longer have a 'liunch prd' but an hour of robotics durring the day when you and your team mates can finish eachothers sentances... when you say "one time, at robotics...' when your team acts like siblings and when you introduce them to people you say "this is my brother..." when you hate weekends because you don't get to be at robotics meetings when you hate having to get a ride from parents becaus eyou can't drive so you have to leave at 8 instead of 11 pm or 2 am like the others |
