How will the alliance selection work at the championships this saturday, specifically including: will the 6, 8, or whatever number of the top seeded teams not be allowed to pick each other?

Also, are the double elimination brackets available to see for an 11-alliance tournament?

We are following the same format as the past five years.

Teams ranked #1 to and including #6 may not select each other. The first pick must come from #7 and above. After the top 6 select the remaining teams are free to select remaining teams until all teams are selected.

In the event that there is an uneven (odd number of) amount of teams then the placebo will be an available team only for selection NOT for substitution in the event of a breakdown.

Yes there is a double elimination tree. This tree uses the NCAA format of the top team playing the lowest team. Because of team numbers there MAY be bye matches for the top teams.

Warning! There are NO teams to sub in if you or your partner are damaged and cannot play. Also time - outs are limited to the finals, where each alliance will have just 1 available - it is 5 min and counts as a full time - out even if you only use 3 seconds of it.
