As for your question, I'm not sure, hopefully someone will be able to help you.

As for a team member posting something goofing around it can be prevented.

Log out after every use on the site if you wish, and also there is an (edit) button on your post to edit the content after.

You can edit posts, and also delete them there as well.

Good luck with your question. I'm sure someone can help you.

First off, do the tutorials. I'm pretty sure there is one that will take you through animating a simple mechanism. Second, use help.

I think motion constraints have something to do with it, but am not sure.

Oh, and there is an edit feature on CD if you need to edit something.

im not sure what inventor studio is, but when i have used inventor (7,10) i usually open up a .ipn file. in this file you place your assembly. then you click on the "tweak componet" tool and there you go, all you have to do after that is just click on the part and drag.

PM me your email and i will send you some pictures of what to do

Re: Does anyone know how to animate with inventor studio? Please Help ME

I don't know what inventor studio is either, but I do know that you can create a constraint, then drive the constraint and record the moving to a movie file. Or you could just watch it move if you want to see what would happen. If you are having trouble getting things to move, you need to look at what constraints are already on the assembly. You might have a grounded part where you don't want to. Or you might have over-constrained stuff to make it look right (note that inventor will only complain about over-constraining if constraints are redundent or conflict, not if they are just constrained too much to do what you want).

I think this is mostly the right way to do it - with a presentaton file. I think Inventor studio is only for making realistic renderings. Although I could be wrong, because I've only used Inventor 10 once.

You can try taking a look at the Inventor 10 tutorials made just for FRC. They are on streamline.

I am not a gardening tool!!!

But really, I haven't had a chance to mess around with Inventor 10 because it's at school and I'm at home (yes!! Christmas break!!). When you refer to "animate" do you mean a full rendering or just drive constraints? If you are looking to render your drawing check this article out... http://manufacturing.cadalyst.com/ma....jsp?id=160503
If that's not what you're looking for just reply back and I'll help you out.
