Vision algorithms?
I was reading about Stanley (the Stanford winning entry for the DARPA Grand Challenge) today, and it mentioned that Stanley used a video camera to scan the ground and see any obstacles. How does that work? Obviously, it's probably much to complex to explain in a single post, but could anybody explain the basics?
Is it a normal camera connected to a computer? Or is it a specialized camera (kinda like the CMUCam)? How do you even begin designing an image analysis algorithm? Any information on how to do a simple, scaled down, version of the Stanley system? Thanks ![]() |
