COnveyor belt wheels
What rims do people use when they want to make conveyor belt wheels? I am specifically looking for 6" or possibly 8" wheels

Are there any others that aren't so expensive?

Re: COnveyor belt wheels
A cheaper way is just buying the conveyor belt material for an 8" wheel, and then screwing it around the wheels that come in the kit. That's what we did last year, but we just got the Wedgetop from Team 696, who had a lot extra. Thanks again guys.
This year, we're going with the Traction Wheels from IFI. |

Re: COnveyor belt wheels
The other trick with the 8" skyway wheels is to lathe them flat and then glue the belting to them. If you have the skills this works well if not try sponsors or tech schools or if one of your mentors has access to a metal lathe.
