Center goal light
I remember reading something about the center goal light only being lit when you can score, but am unable to find that passage again. Everything since then that I've seen indicates that it's constantly on.
Which is the case? |

The game animation clearly states that your opponent's light is off while you are on defense, but that is not a definitive document.

Read the second paragraph of Section 3.2.3 of the game rules, in the section titled "Center Goal". The target panel above the center goal is illuminated when the Center Goal is “active” and available for scoring. It is turned off when the goal is not active.
